The National Focal Point is launching an open call for Bilateral Initiatives between Poland and Norway under the Fund for Bilateral Relations EEA and Norway Grants.
The call in the area of green transition is open from 15 September 2022 till 15 November 2022. The maximum duration of initiative is 12 months. The min grant is 50 000 Euro, the max grant is 250 000 euro. The applicant can be legal persons, public or private, commercial or non-commercial, non-governmental organisations established in Poland or Norway. A partnership with an entity from Norway is obligatory.
What kind of initiatives can be implemented in the Green Call?
According to the call eligible expenditure have to be compliant with Art. 8 sec. 8 of the Regulations. Additionally actions that strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation and deepen mutual knowledge and understanding between Poland and Norway in the area of green transformation are also eligible like:
a) activities aiming at strengthening bilateral relations between the Donor States and Poland;
b) the search for partners for donor partnership projects prior to or during the preparation of a project application, the development of such partnerships and the preparation of an application for a donor partnership project;
c) networking, exchange, sharing and transfer of knowledge, technology, experience and best practice between entities in Poland and entities in the Donor States and/or international organisations;
d) activities aiming at strengthening cooperation and exchanging experiences and best practices between the Programme Operators and similar entities within Poland and Donor.
Guidelines concerning the use of funding from the Fund for Bilateral Relations in the framework of European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 in Chapter 3 list examples of such activities and these aresoft, not investment activities.
Examples of activities that could be carried out under the part of the Bilateral Fund managed by the NFP include:
- events that initiate cooperation that are not related to one specific programme;
- technical cooperation and exchange of experts;
- secondment of workers and internships;
- capacity building and short-term trainings;
- workshops and seminars on issues of common interest;
- study missions and visits;
- data collection, reports, studies and publications;
- campaigns, exhibitions and promotional materials.
